Chakras are energy centers located in the median line of the body, along the spinal column. In total, are 7 chakras and are called: Muladhara, Swadistana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuda, Ajna and Sahasrara.
On the central channel there are seven main chakras. Among the secondary chakras mention Hamsa chakra, located between the eyebrows, and so-called “nodes” (Grantham) of Vishnu and Brahma. Chakras from the central channel have their correspondence on the two side channels. The seven main chakras correspond to the nerve plexus, which represent their manifestations. The chakras located at the bottom of the body reflects our instinctual side, the chakras situated at the top reflects our mental side. When them are opened, pure, shall be deemed to be operative at the highest level. There are many techniques for chakra balancing and purifying, but most used is for opening the chakras.
For an ideal performance, all the chakras should be open and running at optimal parameters. Often, some chakras are hyperactive, while others closed. It goes without saying that when one of these energy centers are no longer functioning properly, the whole body suffers, initial, at energy level and then at physical level..followed by imbalances and disease.
The first Chakra – The Root of the Chakra (Muladhara) – color: red
The Root of the Chakra is located in the right perineum, at the end of the spine. It`s represented by the first color of the rainbow – red.
If this chakra is healthy, it governs survival instincts. Controls the ability to earn money, pay bills and take care of a house, and have as much as needed to deal with human needs. If the chakra is not working well, it can lead to greed, feelings of ingratitude towards what we have in life. It can lead to a neglect of the environment.
The second Chakra – Sacral Chakra (Swadistana) – color: orange
The second chakra is the sacral chakra, represented by the orange color. This Chakra is located around the navel. It Governs the creative energies and related emotions. If balanced, you have creative hobbies, write, paint, sing or dance. If it is unbalanced, your life may look like an emotional roller coaster: obsessions, and feelings of pessimism about situations that are not so serious.
The third Chakra – Solar plexus chakra (Manipura) – color: yellow
It is located in the stomach region. The solar plexus is a group of nerves that radiate the area, so this is why it is called the solar plexus chakra. This chakra controls your energies and activities. It controls the things you choose to do and the purposes you do them. If the chakra is balanced, you make good decisions, you will work on the projects that deserve your time and you will feel satisfied with the results. If you have problems with this chakra, you will make bad judgments and take poor decisions. You can become a workaholic, and focus too much just in one direction of your life.
The fourth Chakra – The heart chakra (Anahata) – color: green
This is the love, networking and communication Chakra. If the heart chakra is balanced, you can empathize with others and you can accept their love and friendship in your life. You will have good friends and be able to create loving relationships. You have compassion for others. If the chakra is not healthy, you’ll have trouble keeping friends and finding love. You may feel lonely, and you will be dark and cold towards others. Work with green stones like the jade. To be more loving with yourself try the pink quartz. If you are jealous and possessive, it means your chakra is over activated. You can use all the green color. Your goal is to learn to trust.
The fifth Chakra – (Vishuda) - color: blue
This Chakra is related to communication and action. It is represented by blue, to ensure us that we are heard and that we can speak of our truth. If the chakra is balanced, you can communicate easily with family and friends with the people you work and interact. You can even talk in front of an audience. If you have problems with this chakra, you can be shy, embarrassed in certain situations and unable to express what you really want to say. Or you can be too talkative in situations where you should listen too much.
The sixth Chakra – Called the third eye (Ajna) – color: indigo
The sixth chakra is the brow chakra or the third eye. It is the chakra of intuition, thinking and spirituality. If the chakra is balanced, you will be at peace with yourself and you’re leaning towards the study of aspects of spirituality. You can develop your psychic intuition. If the chakra is closed, you start to jump from one idea to another without being able to concentrate. Or you’re inclined to stick to one idea, without considering other opinions.
Among the stones able to help you balance your chakra, you can find amethyst and lapis lazuli.
The seventh Chakra – Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) – color: Purple
The final chakra is the crown chakra, represented by the color purple. This chakra controls the true wisdom and understanding. When everything is in balance at this chakra, you can plan your life and cope with everyday tasks and challenges of life. You will feel connected with the divine and the rest of creation. When this chakra is unhealthy, you can make bad decisions, be unhappy and indecisive. You will feel alone and separated from the rest of creation.
